HOBART DAY TOUR TO   MT FIELD NATIONAL PARK

AND BONORONG WILDLIFE SANTUARY 

A local day trip exploring Mount Field National Park, home to the iconic Russell Falls. Walk to see beautiful rainforest and the tall trees forest trail. Continue the walk visiting Lady Barron Falls, finishing at the visitor centre. 

Afternoon visit Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to hand-feed Kangaroos, learn all things native wildlife and meet the Tasmanian Devil.

  • 9:00am to 5:30pm - Departs Hobart Travel and Information Centre 
  • Returns by approx. 5-5:30pm - complimentary accommodation drop-off
  • Please note: Walking trail is approx. 2hrs / 6km -  Easy, with some stairs.
Basics Itinerary 
  • Journey from Hobart for 1 hour along the pretty  Derwent River and local farms.
  • Walks to the Tall Trees, Horseshoe Falls, Russell Falls and Rainforest.
  • Learn about World Heritage Wilderness in the Discovery Centre and Cafe.
  • Explore bonorong wildlife park, join 3:30 afternoon native animal tour
  • Return to Hobart by 5:30pm with accommodation drop offs.

Things To Bring

We suggest wearing warm, comfortable clothing and shoes to walk around in.

Food for the day or AUD Money for lunch 

It's a good idea to bring a rain jacket.
