WHY SEE TASMANIA WITH US?

Go Beyond The Tourist Trail!

Some of Tasmania's most amazing scenery is beyond the main tourist route and not found in guide books.

With 19 National Parks and 800 'other' reserves, there are almost too many places to explore! Sure we visit the highlights: Cradle Mt, Wineglass Bay, Bruny Island, but our guides favourite trails are found at the Hartz Mountains, The Tarn Shelf and kunanyi/Mt Wellington. Probably the most underrated National Park in Tasmania is Maria Island - Our first tour was dedicated to sharing this amazing place! Although it's now gaining momentum, Maria is still one of the states least visited National Parks. Join a tour and learn why our guides believe it's the most fascinating national park in Australia!

Come with us and explore the local favourites and see the real Tasmania!

Low Impact - Sustainably Conciouse

Being a small travel company we are easily able to minimise our impact on the fragile places we visit and our planet. The majority of our food for our picnic lunches comes from within Tasmania and is sourced at a local independent grocer with a focus on seasonal produce. Keeping our groups small ensures our physical and social impact is minimised in each National Park. We follow the Leave No Trace Principle, the world standard for low impact activities in nature. This includes: Keeping to the track, not disturbing flora or fauna, pack it in, pack it out, disposing of waste correctly and respecting hosts and others on the track. '

Be Active on Holiday!

Our Day Hiking Tours get you moving! From our easiest option, an 8km Grade-2 walk around

Maria Island National Park to a harder option, an 18km, Grade-4 City to Summit Mt Wellington Hike!

Our guides enjoy keeping fit too! Ask about great running tracks around Hobart or Launceston.

We also endorse a range of adventure activities around the state: sea kayaking, trekking, white water rafting, canyoning, cycling and mountain biking! So if you enjoy keeping healthy and active - our tours are for you!

Convinence and Ease

Each of our day trips returns to Hobart of an evening/afternoon. Base yourself in the city, explore our great museums: TMAG + MONA, take a hike with us then return to our world-class dining scene and sample eclectic restaurants, bars and eateries.

All of our trips are within 1.5hr drive from Hobart, maximising our time in each National Park.

Our motto is to 'spend more time out of the bus than in it'. Each of our trips departs from a central location of the Hobart Travel and Information Centre on the corner of Davey and Elizabeth Street.

Contact us and we'll see if we can pick you up if you're out of town along the way.
